I know people who have been accepted with a 3.2 unweighted gpa and a 3.85 weighted gpa. He is not dumb, he just did not like high school and his performance somewhat reflected in his grades. He really loves the school and is really involved in a number of organizations. If you do not have the best grades and are looking for academic stimulation in the classroom that will keep your mind occupied and growing this is the school for you.

I had a solid GPA (3Jan 26 2011Communications
I had a solid GPA (3.7 unweighted) and a fairly high SAT score. I think the essay is an important component, because it allows Elon to really see who you are as a person. Extracurriculars are a good plus; I was involved in Honors Society in high school and did a lot of arts clubs and such. It also helped that I had a really great teacher recommendation, although I wouldn't depend on that so much. I think grades and extracurriculars are what stand out the strongest for an Elon candidate.

About 600s on each section of your SAT and good grades. If you don't have these and still want to go, I'd recommend early decision. They take a lot of applicants that way.
